Studio Note #03: Rule #02: Your Logo isn’t Your Brand.

Maybe we need a new logo?

I hear this fairly often from business owners and sometimes they're right.

Most of the time, they're solving the wrong problem.

A logo is important.

But it's only one piece of your brand.

Think about it this way.

Your logo is how people recognize you.

Your brand is how they remember you.

Your website.

Your photography.

Your messaging.

Your proposals.

Your signage.

Your customer service.

Your social media.

Even the way you answer the phone.

Every interaction teaches people what to expect from your business.

That's your brand.

Changing your logo without addressing those things is like repainting a house with a cracked foundation.

It might look different.

It won't perform differently.

At VNDR Studios, we don't start by asking, What should your logo look like?

We start by asking, What should people remember about your business?

Because once the vision is clear, the narrative falls into place, the direction becomes intuitive and the logo is the symbol of everything you've already built.
